Saving ParadiseJune 16-October 23, 2010
Over a hundred years ago, many artists were fascinated with the splendor of California, which compelled them to paint the scenic beauty of California. Although the great romantic image of Old California remains, the unique landscape has changed dramatically. For our time, we are fortunate to be able to view some of these rare paintings and are able to briefly return to a time long ago when California was an unspoiled paradise. Because many of California's unique lands, rivers, streams, coastal water and the native species they support are at risk of being lost forever, let all of us do what we can to save our natural heritage.
